Just got back from short journey and dynamic damping control came flashing up on display and seemed to loose the shockers, ride was extremely taught & bouncy. My vehicle is 2008 MY, 3.0sd twin turbo, x drive , I believe. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

I hope this isn't like saying "The microwave's not working- have you plugged it in and turned it on?" - but have you started the car after coming back from your short journey? It could have been a temporary error of some sort and may clear on a cold start?
Sunny.

Fantastic! I once got a "Self-levelling suspension fault" message on my 2006 (E53 shape) X5, and I only saw it once - so hopefully its gone for good!

Low battery volts are the usual cause. Once charged up again there should be no more nasties appearing on the dash...
