Parted with the X5 :(

Had some good times in it and didn't think the day would come but I have finally parted with the X  :(

I have stripped anything decent off it so will be putting it up here first before eBay... So keep an eye out.

I part-exed the X5 against a 55 Plate E60 Interlagos M5 :) Really happy with it. I just love the sound and power delivery of the V10 but do miss that V8 rumble of the X at the same time... Much quieter at the moment compared to the X5 too ha... That will soon change though.

Hopefully I'm still welcome here even if I don't technically have a X series anymore!

I'm starting to think the same about selling my beast too.

I went from the M5 to the X so the other way round. They are stunning motors and simply superb in most departments. I just remember the amount of times mine spent in the dealers though with warranty issues (oh and the petrol station  :-[)

What you thinking about getting Raj? I remember you talking to me about your M5 and issues. Mines just had a new clutch and flywheel done so hopefully should last me while... I know you what you mean about the petrol! Especially coming from an LPGed car lol I do miss it for that!

Tbh not sure. Nothing extravagant etc maybe just a nice 335i or something. But then I start it up and pull up at lights and get loads of looks and think nah LOL.

As for the M, I do see most tend to have had clutches and flywheels just fitted from the for sale ads (always looking lol).

I had brake servo, numerous different sensors, edc shock and some other stuff. Luckily the most costly was the brake servo as it took the dealer 3 weeks with BMW GBs help to diagnose using a donor car to swap bits over with lol.

Looks like my old m5 ; beautiful looking car !

I bought an Eisenmann race exhaust and race X pipe for mine and it sounded astonishing !!!

Managed 181mph too with plenty to go .

My favourite colour M5 :) I'd love an Eisenmann race system they sound the best IMO. I'm thinking for now doing a muffler delete which a lot seem to do on the M5 forum and leaving resonators in place so I don't get a drone and then if it's still quiet I can get an x-pipe and then one day maybe an Eisenmann! Woah 181mph nice!  I hope to max my out when I next go Germany :-D

Stunning car James, the bits I like is the seat holster tighten when going round bends, and the sound of the V10 on downshift when it blips the throttle awesome,

Enjoy the new car and keep us all updated on your exploits
