Hi. I got the same carrier. It's OK. Still feels a bit stiff to open door. Don't know if its related or not.

There is a how to guide somewhere that I used. Its not very difficult if your handy with tools.

Bit far from you otherwise would have given you a hand :)

I ordered a carrier off ebay and had a nightmare trying to get it in. You need the hands of a midget to line everything up and then a third hand to screw it in.

It may have been my heavy handed application or a rubbish quality part off ebay but the thing ended up snapping off in my hand again.

Booked it in the garage in the end, best £200 I ever spent!  :))

My drivers door handle went after my 3yr tried to open the door. I booked it into BMW as the part and labour came with 3yr warranty. Piece of mind incase the little one or wife manages to break it again.

I replaced mine last week, £82 all in from BMW, took about an hour to fit and works perfect.  I also thought about buying cheap but the horror stories I read, it didn't justify the effort.

Very easy to fit, just take your time
