Hi from the far Nth of Scotland...

Just picking up my X3 2.0d SE on Tuesday morning, my 1st BMW,
and already found some great info on this forum: Cheers. 

Will miss the TT Quattro Sport that I've had for over 5yrs, but the photo hobby
dictates a more useful vehicle.

Anyways: Looking forward to picking up some more info on blanking off the swirl flaps,
and buying / fitting side steps etc.

I was unsure about giving a shout out as an X3 Newbie, as all the other 'Hellos' were from those monster X5 buyers....

Yeah, been a fairly good Summer, but weather's defo on the turn. 

Be interesting to have the X3 over Winter up here: I'll let you know its ups & downs. ;D

Don't worry about that.  An 'X' is still an 'X'.  And besides we let Audi drivers, even front wheel drive ones on here - under sufferance of course but then one is a Mod.... >:D

Welcome fella nice looking X3 you have I'm also new on here got my first X5 but been driving bmw a long time, the forum is really good and great bunch of guys & gals and very helpfully on here as well

Thanks for all the welcoming replies...  Much appreciated.
Just collected the car this evening, so looking forward to my
3hr drive home tomorrow morning. Wasn't so good leaving my TT QS
behind though....

Well: Car is home.... 3hr drive from Elgin to near John O' Groats and averaged 44.5mpg, so quite happy.
That gives a full tank range of c. 650mls. Not too shabby, although I did drive partly like a pensioner.... lol

Now to have a good read of the owners manual, and get familiar with the Hill descent, parking assistance thingy etc.

Oh, and see about getting a re-map to increase both performance & economy, if possible. Anyone recommend a good specialist for this in Scotland?
