Are OEM items carbon activated?

Yes.  You don't have to use charcoal ones, but if anyone in the family has hay fever etc then it's a good idea.  You don't have to go OEM as Eurocarparts sell them too.

Mann Carbon Activated is closer to £70 and the one without is almost half the price
