Been looking at the bmw scanners on ebay but they all seem different prices. Are they all different?
What do I need to run it? Is it easier to run on xp if I use an old laptop?

Re: bmw scanner
If you're talking about the 1.4.0 scan software with the cable and OBD II connector, I concluded that they were all the same despite prices ranging from $20 up to $160. I just bought a cheaper option from a seller with good rating.
From what I've read, a laptop with XP is preferable.

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
