What oil should be used in diesel range and what do BMW dealers use?

realoem suggests
5W-30 Longlife-04

can anyone confirm this and brand BMW use, think it's Castrol they usually have?

I used Castrol Edge FST Fully Synthetic 5W30 Engine Oil (4 Litre) - so you'll need two of those.
Prices vary - usually about £35 each at Eurocarparts. I found some on ebay for £27.
