I was always under the impression the X5 came with a detachable tow bar but cant seem to find it?

Have I imagined this?

Yes - not standard.

Do not get it Dealer fitted though!  They will want obscene amounts of money!

Factory fit is a Westfalia and if you get it with the dedicated electrics then it's plug and play.  Not too difficult a job either if your handy with tools. There's a 'How To' on here somewhere.  Bumper off job then replace the bumper iron behind it and feed the wiring through.  Trailer module plugs into an existing socket in the boot.
