***Updated*** Assaulted from Behind!!

My poor X6 has just been unceremoniously assaulted from behind by one of the Mitsuthingy L200 with nudge bars!! I was stationary too.
The 3rd party said they didn't see me. Oh well, but I thought (and said loudly) that's what mirrors are for! An X6 is not exactly petite now is it?
Damage not too serious, but we won't know until the rear bumper is removed to check.
Looks like offside rear foglight needs replacing but as the whole thing is rattling about inside the bumper, it may mean more than a polish and re-spray as it may need a new rear bumper if the lamp mounts are broken (which it sounds like they are to me).
No-one other than the X6 hurt. Just have to await any 3rd party shenanigans.
Hopping mad though!
EDIT Goes in for repairs next Wednesday so maybe the money I pay to Aviva is worth it. Body shop run by the dealer I bought the car from.

Oh bollox! Not fair!
I'm glad to hear you're OK. Agreed - how can you not see something that big and red!!!
Either way the whole lot needs to get seen to properly to get it mint again. Hopefully being so new the paint job will continue to be a perfect match too.
Don't let it ruin your Christmas if you can...

Yes the driver was reversing and there is just no way that the X6 was not visible in their near side mirror. The rule always used to be, if you can't see, don't move. If the other car had continued then actually it wold have been going the wrong way down a one section of a car park, though how much notice everyone takes of that I don't know.
The body shop doing the work is a proper BMW Approved Accident Repair Centre. They were te guys that fixed the paint defects at delivery, so they couldn't believe it when I took it in.
I'm also hoping that with the car being so new that a match might be an easier prospect than if it had been 5 yars old. Red always used to be a nightmare colour to match because of fading. No idea how the modern paints do now they're water based.
Thanks for all the kind words - and I'm gutted given she only has 710 miles on the clock now and is 6 weeks old. Had to stop driving for 2 weeks but I am OK again, and at least she's driveable, and should get some use over the holiday.

Just talked to the repairer and it seems that a complete rear bumper outer skin is required, plus rear foglight assembly and lens, fittings, fixtures, paint, labour and VAT. I think that sounds expensive!!
