Typical 4.8 engine issues to be aware of?

So I'm just about to venture into the world of 4.8 ownership, albeit in an E64. Are there any typical engine issues/weaknesses that I should watch out for or expect to encounter at some point?

650i, sounds good. The only problem I've heard of is the Vally pan coolant exchange ORing/gasket .
Very big job but not that common I don't think, sure an ex member on here fitted the German expandable pipe to sort his. As said not that common, water leaks from a tell tale hole near the water pump housing I think

Haven't got one yet so no pictures I'm afraid. Just doing my research at the moment. Hopefully won't be long.
