Wife reversed car into postbox

Hi all, wife kindly drove our car into postbox today. I need a new rear unpainted black SE bumper now. Anyone know of any going for sale? its scraped the rear quarter bumper panel aswell which will need spraying, along with the bottom aero trim corner kit! gutted is not the word. Had just finished my list of little niggles and car was perfect for few days and now this.
Something has always got to pee on your chips!

I won't even ask if the PDC was working, as when I asked that question I got a response like "it always beeps" … :'(

oh well!! should i go through insurance? it needs rear panel which is technically still the bumper spraying, and new plastic black bumper plus aero trim on that side sprayed! doesn't look terrible but all needs doing! gutted is not even close

Previous X5, but it was deemed that the PDC always came on too early.
Was only £350 to repaint part of it … :-[

new bumper purchased! genuine Oem original!! bargain off eBay £87 delivered courtesy of budget bumpers!! I'm amazed!! priced at main dealer and was £605 !!!!
Friend owns spray shop and is doing all fitting and painting for £100! so quite happy with that.

she confessed today and told me about her phone call to mum and dad crying her eyes out!! ( she is 27 ). And worrying about telling me!! Apparently her Dad even came over whilst i was in work and removed all the red post box paint from the car before I got there with wd40 lol !!! [emoji56]

Did you report the incident to Royal Mail?!
How badly did the postbox come off?
