I believe there are mudflaps that can be colour coded, but even those are going to bug@er up how the car looks for sure.  I think they're more common in North America where loose gravel on roads is more prevalent.

reference the mud flaps had mine fitted by BMW on my E70 Motorsport and they look excellent ,my pictures are in the gallery section

Car is back £3k of paintwork later,  wheel arch, door sills and bottom half of all doors one.

Plastic film protector also fitted to reah wheel arch lip, door sill corner and rear doors bottom corner!

Great to hear! Hope they have covered all the cost.  Is anything happening with the mudflaps?

no mudflaps, i refused to pay for them and told BMW to bugger off.

Having read this thread, i thought i would try and get mine done under warranty, it is an 08 30SD with 33K miles under BMW warranty as it is a recent purchase.  However BMW warranty company said they would not cover it as the car is more than 3 years old  :o  What is the general consensus on this, is it worth going after them for it due to the low mileage, or am i really going to be wasting my breath and time?

Just been to BMW about this, they are already replacing all 4 wheels and rear bumper due to it being deformed but they said BMW are no longer automatically agreeing to respraying and applying the film, they have took photos and will be speaking to BMW later today.
