Just done mine with directline. They insured the x5 without a tracker. So far came out the cheapest for me. I was with elephant and they added on loads onto the prenium for extras that were fitted at the factory. Their renewal price came in at £900 compared to dirextline at £490

Just changed to AXA from Swiftcover. Swiftcover wanted £440 to renew my X5 3.0d. I went on compare the market and AXA came in at £306 fully comp with protected no claims, that's for me and the Mrs.
I can't argue with that. I only do around 5k a year though.
Full no claims and 50 years old ( there's got to be some bonus for being middle aged ! )

My renewal with AXA cam up £2,000.
I got quote for £700 with Flux Direct. Anyone heard of them? they got bad reviews (so has every insurance) but they want me to take a pic of my odometer to prove mileage... strange.

Don't forget all of us,ask for discount on Renewal do not just
accept their figure.

By chance the renewal notice came in yesterday for £809 from Axa Direct. Rang them and they dropped to £728. Explained that they were still a fair way off the best figure I've had so far. Salesman said to give them a call before going with someone else. Why? If they had given me a better price there and then and not nessacerily the lowest but in and around £660-£670 I would have sealed the deal.

My broker does this *every* year. Renewal £820. Best they can do for sure! Then I say, oh right, doesn't matter, cos go compare have found me someone who can do it for £420. They say they'll call me back and low and behold, £420. I think, as was mentioned on here, that they just hope on people being too lazy to shop around and that's where they make their money.
