this could be dumping the pressure, bleeding pass the pistion on the forward gear clutch, the seal is hard and the pressure bleeds pass the pistion ,wait for the oil to warm up or it then seals and give the pressure to the forward clutch
will need full rebuild to fix £1550 with new converter

nope they said its still not faulting when they had the car, find this hard to take in because I could make it fault on demand. As long as it was stud for over 7hrs, i just used to manually put it in first till rolling then back in manual.
But daft as this sounds I only did it for a week, manually putting it in gear. Now I just drive off as normal, and all seems fine, so don't no if this is still the start of some thing letting me no. But as its working fine and as been for a few months now, I'm going to leave it. Got the funds to one side as they seem a common fault, so just a matter of time.

That sounds scary, what damage would that do to the rest of the hydraulics, valves etc?
Must have a finite life with such a product? Additional wear, bits of seals breaking off and blocking galley ways and so on.
Hmmmm

Not sure what they did can't trust them no more, but it was a good week before it started driving normal.
Just going to play the waiting game for now, and all been well will hold out. If and when it fails i will post up here the problem if and when it's rebuilt.

No its normally ok used to be a forte dealer untill the rep said we had to buy there can in boxes of 24 of each item then told us bmw put 1 can in each car on every service( lies to sell more)
All it dose is makes the seals soft and makes them swell so they seal
It all depends on how much is in there
I've used it on my mates Lamborghini in the diff as he was paying 2500 every year to change them as his car just get used 2 or 3 times a year
The independant Lamborghini tech told my mate not to use it ( I wonder why) since using it he has never needed the seals changed on the diff again that was more than 7 years ago
