Ouch! I know some Audi’s - mainly the eTron - are running at 4% of expected build rate due to critical parts still being manufactured in Ukraine.
There are i4 orders from June ‘21 still not in production. Even with my Project Manager head on I can’t make any sense of BMW’s build rationale. It’s all over the place!

This is the first car I ever ordered that is already out of manufacturing before it has even been built. They only have the low capacity versions that you can order now whilst mine is the high one.

Can you not get a personalised 72 one and put it on retention ready??

…………and slipped to Week 8 ‘23 from Week 51 ‘22, so end of February ‘23 at present. March delivery. I can’t say I’m in the least bit surprised as many others are having exactly the same experience. It might be the latest recall for bad morris (premature bearing failure on a batch) and a battery issue affecting cars produced in Oct/Nov has removed components for production as they need to go on repairs.

Just a little longer. Car went into production in the Body Shop this afternoon. Should have it a week or so after Easter (cross-channel shipping/strikes permitting).

You've had a long wait. Unfortunately it's now par-for-the-course throughout the automotive industry. My brother has just taken delivery of his latest Ford Focus. He has waited nearly a year for it. His last one (a 19-plater) went from order to delivery in under a month. Plus a lot of the standard spec. on the older car is now extra-cost option, and a couple of standard items on the older car are not available for the newer one.

Having read the write-ups on various options and suppliers, I bought the Hypervolt2 smart charger.

It’s finally at the Dealership! Not yet confirmed collection as they need to add some extra options, but hopefully next week……..
I started looking for a replacement way back in May 2021 with a deposit paid in August.
The scary bit is that the i4 M50 has increased in price by almost £10k in 12 months. We’re price protected, but no wonder sales of new EVs are falling. They’re about 30% more than a petrol equivalent and leccy is much more expensive - especially for those unable to charge at home - than it was. Overnight home rates are as little as £0.075p /kWh (£6.30 for my battery from dead). Public rates can be more than £0.70p (and have 20% Vat - 5% for home) or nearly £60 for 250 miles.
Pics to follow once I’ve got the car.

£60 for 250 miles is more than my thirsty F25. My last fill-up was less than £56 for 258 miles.
..... And our C3 Picassos are nearer £40, they both do around 45mpg locally and 60ish on the rare occasions they venture more than 10 miles from home.
As I've posted before, EVs don't make sense for us because of the inability to be able to charge at home. The nearest we're ever going to get is a non-plug-in hybrid.

Only works if the tax adds up. I bought mine as a company purchase so straight deduction of the company profits. With a personal tax of 2% and all charging paid by the company it is a no brainier. The ID had gone up £5k in price since our order in 2021 but also price protected
