I can understand that, but 740nm is a lot of pulling power too ...  >:D    :))

'WARNING-THE WORLDS SLOWING DOWN'

Releasing that much torque needs to come with health warnings.  I thought I felt the world slow down for a second earlier today, around the same time you were 'squeezing the pedal'.

Just picked her up from bodyshop yesterday.  Update on bits n bobs below.
BMW performance grilles - fitted
BMW performance rear lip spoiler - painted & fitted
BMW performance rear window slats - painted & fitted
Hamann ally pedal set - fitted
M licence plate surrounds - fitted

BMW performance side skirts - on order
BMW performance rear diffuser - on order
ACS bonnet vents *in carbon* - trying to source as chrome ones now latest model but I do not like them - ACS are rummaging through boxes........

BMW front & rear mudguards - ready to fit (after skirts done)

3m Ventureshield for bonnet, bumper, wings and headlights - fitted then taken off again as it looks tat on a black car!!  I will take my chances with stonechips for the brief period I will have this car.

BMW rear boot lip protector - waiting for it to warm up to 0 degrees outside then fitting today.

After Image
Pedals Image
Again Image
Slats Image

I think the lip spoiler and window slats look a LOT better painted.

Wow! After all that work and effort are you not planning on keeping it for long?!

The front mudguards will hopefully help mitigate the stone chipping.

I have the flaps (F & R) on mine and no chipping so far.

Liking the window slats and bootlip spoiler.

For me, Hamann pedals aren't straight though and wouldn't be happy with the dead pedal not being a proper fit for the original shape.

Good spot.  If you look closely at the top screw on accelerator pedal you will see that it is only secured a couple of turns as I was doing some final adjustments :-)
Even the BMW OEM footrest is not an exact size; one of the problems with having to cover both RHD and LHD applications in the one product/version.  1 x 6'4" bloke trying to cram under dash for a decent photo = no justice done to finished article.
If I wasn't entirely happy I would remove them - as I did for 3(!!) rear spoilers on the 40d, and the 3M protector film on the 50d.
Now toying witht he idea of carbon wing mirrors (again; had them on the 40d)........

Oh yeah and on the E71 the dead pedal is slightly slanted off to the side anyway

Fair points. Would love to see this in the flesh once you've finished as she is coming along very nicely.

Keep me posted on your local meets; only an hour and a bit from here.  Would also love to see Westside's steed when fully sorted.  I should have stopped all my fettling by Xmas  O:-) ;)
