Doubt it. Too subtle changes for a model manufacturer to make
My dealer gave me a black one when they delivered the car to my house
I wouldn't order the internet option. I have it in my car and it's unusable! It's like surfing the net in the early nineties. Opening a web page takes minutes if indeed it loads at all. Took it into a dealer who didn't seem to have any clue, they made some changes (I think to the gateway ip) but it made no difference.
Anyone have a better experience?
It's down to whatever speed your mobile network can handle and some networks have very poor data speeds.
Tech wise 3G is 'supposed' to provide 2Mbps walking, 380kbps mobile but rarely does in practice due to a poor ITU standard being written and even poorer implementation. 2.75G (EDGE) is just dire at 400kbps or (usually much) less and if you fall off EDGE then it's about 56kbps - or 1990's internet speeds.
This is unlikely to improve until LTE (4G) finally rolls out, but that isn't nytime soon as trials are only just starting and the licences have yet to be issued by auction. Let's hope a bit more common sense is used than was shon during the 3G auction which raised over £20bn for the taxman. 4G should bring 100Mbps with it, but as with ll things broadband in the UK, no doubt the words 'up to' will still be allowed and we'll get nowhere near it.
I haven''t used the Internet option much in the Mini, but it has been useful and once we get out of our Orange contract in June and move to one where tethering is free then it means using the iPhone as a hotspot and being able to use the iPad through it. It also brings Internet audio and a few other things into becoming available for those who need to tweet and/or update their Facebook entries (whilst someone else Is driving of course!).
Whatever happened to BMW's mobile WiFi hotspot for the UK? I know you can get it for France & Germany.

Congrats dont worry 8 weeks will fly in
If you can still change spec add High beam assist, it switches between headlights and main beam automaticlly and at £130 its prob one of the best £1 for benefit option I've got on mine.
Skip on the Internet it is slow and TBH pretty crap, plus it locks out on the move (vehicle in motion)

I did add mobile application 6NR but not used as waiting on my mob contract chang in April so I can get iphone (I think u need inetrnet to use 6NR, not sure though)
Also add the rear luggage net at £180 or so it is a good option as it also seconds as a decent dog guard.
The only option I fitted to mine (search my old post) that I rarely use and only added cause I thought it looked good (and to help the wife) was front side cameras.
Well done on discount 11% + tracker (which works out around 13% discount) over list cost is a good deal.

The spec has been locked now, and my thinking re the side cameras was probably the same as yours (uh - assist Mrs PVR keeping the alloys in one piece

).
Don't have the internet.
Forgot the net - but only used it once in the 6.5 years in the E53 though.

The side view cameras don't help at all with avoiding kerbing the alloys, but the top view does. They do however help prevent a major accident coming out of an otherwise blind junction! Funnily enough it was my wife that wanted to spend money on the side view cameras, as well as the adaptive headlights !! Most useless option is voice recognition which just doesn't work very well so I don't bother using...

We have the voice recognition. You have to become an actor and learn lines and still it doesn't understand you - no different to other voice recognition mind you!

I find it particularly annoying that you have to say the precise commands per the manual at each stage rather than it being able to recognise a range of obvious terms. You also seem to have to navigate through the menu paths rather than jump straight to what you want... I've given up as I can't be bothered to revise all the terms and paths! I'm still delighted with the car mind...

How did we cope before all of these options became available!?!?

Those were my sentiments too, however, I think many of us have historically scuffed alloys, occasionally dazzled oncoming traffic & felt at risk emerging from certain junctions & entrances.
They seem like brilliant options IMO.

How did we cope?
If it was cold we were all out scraping screens. We swore at our wives/girlfriends/partners etc coz they couldn't read a map. We got lost. We opened windows on hot days (using a handle......eeeek) and to listen a blind junctions. Reaching 100mph was an achievement worth boasting about. Voice control was otherwise called a back seat driver. We knew what was wrong with the car because the guages told us, and we could fix most of it ourselves with a set of spanners, a few sockets, a hammer and a screwdriver. A service was about £15 in parts - inc the oil! And if it lasted more than five years before rotting away you were on a winner. Oh, and the Owners Manual was about 20 pages long.
Now you almost need a degree to service them, and be a genius to remember everything in the 600 page manual! Not only that, but if you make a small transgression the car nags you! And with the state if the map databases we still get lost!
Happy days.
