Those mirrors on ebay that I provided the link for went for £260............

Hi guys I finally got some that were advertised on eBay, I asked the guy his best price , he returned with £450.00 for the set, picked them up from him this morning , he even kindly put them on for me. They are manual folding but that doesn't bother me too much, they actually feel more sturdy than my old electric ones. And they were the same colour as my old ones. Have put some epoxy resin on the screws which should make it harder for them to be removed..hopefully!
Also contemplating putting on a thatcham cat 1 proximity alarm. Any suggestions anyone?
And a big thank you for all the help from everyone who kindly went out of their way to help.

Great News! So glad that you found something even though it took a few days.

I've just left it with a Clifford dealer getting a thatcham cat 1 alarm put on..with dual proximity sensor. I love my X and don't want to get rid of it for a few long years yet.. Will stick some pics up once I get a chance. I have never come across a more friendly and helpful website with caring people than this. I should have come on here when I was looking for a wife lol..hope the wife doesn't read this lol

Just had a call from my brother , telling me how he has spotted 3 local x5's with their door mirrors missing, can't understand for the life of me what the police are doing about this. As I'm sure all this crime is being reported. I spoke with the police last week, they told me that there are gangs from within certain countries in Europe without naming them operating in the area. If they know then why are they not doing anything about it, as it is costing people thousands and increasing their premiums. I saw a guy in the local garage on Monday who had both of his stolen. It's just disgraceful that they know is doing it, but doing nothing to stop it.
