Crikey, ive been looking at replacing the X5 with something small for the Mrs. Its a marmite kind of car but the offer Don has is to good to miss. Hmm wonder if the Mrs will like it?

Funny you should say that, my neighbour over the road has one with the dedicated socket outside. You get a 6 metre cable with the car so if I park outside his house.....

Moving On

Post by kjb1 » Tue Jan 13, 2015 1:30 pm

James are you taking the option of larger charging port? how much was your transport? to Wales mine was £540.  Which to be fair isn't bad, I did get a private quote for £460, but that was with Shiply.  What colour you thinking of? we are torn between black, red or white but I think we are leaning towards black.  Just called dealership to make payment but Jacky is on day off ( have been in contact via email today ).

Ive tried lots of other dealerships as a check all over country and they all cannot even get close!!! and all are saying go with this deal snap their hands off, so that made my mind up to be fair.

I looked on leaftalk, and there are others getting deals for £175 deposit with £150 month payments but they are very rare and via a voucher code from Nissan for friends and family per employee @ 5 codes per employee.

Ok, paid the deposit and looking forward to picking up the car at the end of the month. For those interested in looking into this deal the dealership is www.specialistcarsnissan.co.uk speak to Jacky Chan......no I'm not joking. Act fast as the deal won't last much longer and don't forget to mention my name.....won't get you anymore discount but will help me in any future deals.  ;)

All the best.  Don

PS, I forgot to mention they are in Aberdeen. But don't let that put you off, as the deal is good even factoring in the transporter fees.  I myself will be having an adventure and driving to Cairnryan (225 miles) before catching the ferry to Northern Ireland.  In theory I will be leaving Aberdeen with a fully charged car and should be able to get away with two charges on route, but I will be planning a more cautious three to four charges until I see for myself just how the batteries behave.

How long are you factoring in for charging?
The Teknas we have chosen are the slow charging ones yes? ie will take 4-8 hours yes?
