Yeah X5s are dull compared to all the other motors you guys have the fortune of playing around with! Sadly the missus doesn't feel the same way. Sigh. Maybe she needs to see how the baby seat will fit in an RS6! Anyway, glad this thread has helped simulate some lively discussion :)

This thread went a bit off topic  :)
Anyway, how did the test drive/viewing go ?

Hey dude, sorry for late reply. Test drive seemed fine but was in the absolutely sheeting rain so was difficult to make out anything subtly untoward during the drive.

Paintwork seems unblemished, checked the arches too as you recommended. Front wheels just been refurbed and the back ones are unmarked. Managed to knock a few hundred quid and added car tax and fuel and free delivery off due to additional mileage since being advertised which I kicked up a stink about. Tried to push for extra service and tyre insurance but then they sent the head controller onto me and i got knocked back at that point. Other than that I think it seems like I got a fair price for it. Can't wait to drive it!

Thanks for all the tips and the banter, much appreciated all.

Nice one, once you get it you won't regret it performance wise, they are an amazing mix of performance and handling for such a large motor  :)
