Myth.  The weight per square cm is less than an average car because of the wider tyres.

I do agree though that the roads in Surrey and Sussex are in a shocking state though. >:(

Both my cars tyres are as wide as your fronts and considerable lighter !

They are terrible down here and I have to pay more road tax (£1k first year ) in my light estate car than your bus

Maybe it's the combined weight of all the Audi drivers' egos which is causing all the damage.  ;)

(J/K, was an Audi driver myself till last month  :)))

Hmm.............You are naughty - Ironic you need four rings on grill to help achieve this extra front end weight & size ;)

I'm sure that's statistically insignificant.

Definitely non indicators and people who don't say thank you when you let them out. Lately I've noticed people in small cars who take corners extra wide like they're driving a bus...often drifting into the adjoining lane....grrr

On the other hand someone thanking me for thanking them brightens my mood considerably for at least 10 minutes....

...then its ruined by a non indicating fool.

Was driving up my road yesterday and a car starts edging out of his parking space.  Does he (i) wait until I've passed a few seconds later or (ii) keep coming out, stay sat there in front of me in the road in a stand off and then, having been joined by another car coming innocently from behind, spend another couple of minutes trying to negotiate past with cars parked both sides...  I'll let you decide.  Suffice to say there are some right chippy twa*s on our roads these days....

X5 driving is newish for me but I have def noticed that some drivers do not want to be over taken by me  I have had a number of incidents when someone I have passed on a dual carrriageway has then sped up to tailgate me. Didn't seem to happen in my 530D?

Pet hate drivers that potter along at almost single figure speeds in the dark and also brake when ever a car comes in the opposite direction using their lights in the dark! or when they happen upon a small kink in the road.

other annoyances:

Drivers that do 35 in a 60 and a 30

Drivers that pull around parked cars on their side of the road forcing you to brake

Drivers that pull around puddles forcing you to brake or bury your  nearside mirror in the hedge

Drivers that clear a square foot of snow from their windscreen and then drop snow here there and everywhere

As well as all of the comments previously made of course.

The snow has been falling heavily, the roads are just about safe but people don't bother to clean their cars properly.  The number I saw on the road today with their lights covered so giving other traffic no indicators because they were all covered in snow!  Never mind the others who 'just nipping down the shops' so can't be bothered to clear the rear screen and just a small hole in the front.  Well they can see, so sod everyone else....
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
