Special mention for my X in the snow. Excellent again.
Well done BMW!

Totally agree. After being blocked in by snow for the last few days, it was good to get out. The roads around me have sort of been cleared but only in a primitive way. I tried one road, following a Touerag that pulled over having felt the way ahead was not suitable. I continued on, with a LR Defender behind. The tracks in the snow made by tractors were deep and the underside of the car was rubbing against the snow, but on it went.
Now I did come to a point where I feared for the front bumper so decided not to proceed. At this point the LR went on, only to fail to get past the same place. So, given the deeply rutted tracks and solid ice in places the X was fantastic.
Although non of this would have been possible without the right tyres.

Although I basically can't stand winter and although it's going to cost me a packet, I'm really looking forward to buying/trying winter tyres for the X6, later in the year.
