Slowly :( came very close to a Black/Red 'M' but got cold feet due to odd history. Have also had a busy few weeks due to having the loft converted and this is taking my savings away for the toy. Any more thoughts on changing yours?

To be honest I didn't know there was one on. Not been on the 'Z' forum or here for that mater much in the last month. Have been kept busy with the roof. Chances of getting away for a day are slim as well SWMBO wants everything sorted asap due to family wanting to come over and stay

Picked it up this morning and so far very, very happy.

The 30D seems to be plenty quick enough and coming from a Mitsubishi truck as an everyday car it's more than enough.

Some pics to keep Sanj happy

Very nice :ok:

Interested to note that the NS paddle is (-) and the OS is (+).  On the X6 both do both depending on whether you push or pull which always struck me as odd, although I've got used to it.

Thanks guys :)

BMW really know how to throw a car together and I hope it's the start of another long relationship with the X.

A few of my initial thoughts:

The I drive has clearly moved on over the past couple of years and it's all seems to work seamlessly and intuitively. Only disappointment is the single track scenario if you're using Bluetooth from say an iPhone to stream music. The 991 I had for a day managed to sync everything including albums, playlists etc. and Porsche are known for being behind other marques when it comes to ICE. As some answered in my other thread if you connect an iPod or iPhone with a normal Apple lead everything is as it should be - combined with album covers on the screen which is a nice touch. Sound from the BMW Business is pretty good.....I'm too old to,worry about cranking up the volume until my ears bleed ;)

The interior is a nice place to be, the pano roof really makes a big difference and the amount of rear leg room is impressive. The standard leather seems to be nicely finished and the standard sports seats seem very comfortable - I was worried that much like to E60 the comfort seats are the only seats to have, not the case with the E70.

The ride is incredibly quiet and very smooth even with the sports suspension and 20" wheels. I can imaging it's very easy to break the limit and not be aware!

Only negative is that I'm still amazed the wing mirrors don't fold with the key, seems ludicrous to me and if it's a safety feature then I'm a monkeys uncle!

It's by far the best built ride on toy car I think I've ever seen!
