Shame you weren't in your X to note the comparison... i'm sure you may bump into each other at some point on the roads to give it a whirl.
The order may be a little off starting with my first:

Nissan Bluebird
Citroën AX GT
Renault 5 GT Turbo (Raider Edition)

Honda CRX Vtech
Rover Coupe
VW Corrado G60
Toyato MR2 GT Limited
BMW M3 (e36)

Ford Puma
Lexus IS200
VW Golf TDi GT
Toyato RAV4 XTR
-- had enough of company cars
Lotus Elise
Porsche Boxster 986 (current)
X5 3.0d (current)

Loved the GT Turbo...
Corrado G60 - what a car. Now considered a modern day classic......I would love one even now!!!

My early cars were quite boring, apart from my very first which was awesome. Anyone use to go to Bug Jam about 91?

1968 VW Type 3 Squareback
1984 VW Polo
1989 Renault 5
1992 Renault Clio RT
1989 BMW 318i Touring (work pool car I managed to nick ALL the time)
1988 BMW 520i Lux
1996 Saab 900 SE Turbo
1996 Peugeot 405 GLD Estate (don't ask)
1999 BMW 328i M Sport Touring
2004 BMW X5 3.0i Sport
2002 BMW 330i M Sport Touring (current)

Years are the car age, not time of ownership. I wasn't around in 1968!

Future cars will all be BMWs, unless I can kick this addiction!

Haven't we done this before?

88 mg montego - given to me for first car by mum when dad bought her a new E36
90 cavalier Gsi - most reliable car I've owned
95 V6 mondeo ghia x
99 lexus is200 - one of the first in uk
01 audi S3
02 audi a4 2.5tdi quattro
03 audi s4
05 BMW 535d m sport tourer-one of the first
06 lotus Elise - weekend toy
08 BMW X5 3.0sd m sport - one of the first in uk
08 lotus exige s - replacement weekend toy now running twice the power of first Elise
10 Lincoln navigator for our home in the US. Bit of an impulse buy if I'm honest

I assume the dates are reg dates not dates of ownership?

Oh and if we are doing future cars it is unlikely to be a BMW.

Current front runner is an RS5 Cab or maybe new RS4, neither of which have been announced yet!
