I'd love the Dynavin with Android for £590. But even for that price I would expect it to include DVB-T and DAB
All of em! And the bluetooth module, TV module and SatNav.
All in the boot.
i don't have bluetooth, only have slightly yellowish ones, have 32 of em!
so lemme get this right, a quick check in ebay:
mkIV sat nav module: sells for between £205 to £350
bm54: sells for around £120
cd chnager: sells for around £100
tv tuner: one for £49, another for 150, so lets say £75
i can make a cool £500 just sellin off the bits i don't need, if i go for one of these head units??
that leaves me thinkin - is the chinese made unit good enuf in quality look and feel compared to the oem unit?
is that it?

What to you's make of this? I haven't had time to read through it all yet but this was someone reply to the group buy on a different forum
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=892583
Here's a little more technical info, doesn't seem to be too hot cpu/ram wise but I'd say the market will fill up with android based head units over the next year or so.
EDIT: Dynavins supplier are actually selling a better specced version for cheaper;

I like the way you think.Get ready for the ebail market to be flooded with X5 audio & nav equipement.
If the price was right, I would be after a Dynavin, but would want TV & Camera package (Bonus month).

Re: Anyone interested in a group buy for Dynavin or Hualinga
Thanks for those links gareth82, very interesting
Having read every page on both of them I now have ZERO interest in the Dynavin, even at the 'bulk discount' price. I was slightly concerned that the Dynavin was over-priced and this has confirmed it.
The other unit is made in the SAME factory and has identical specs. (even slightly better) yet is half the price.
Both products still feel a bit 'work in progress', especially given that, I am more likely to gamble with the cheaper model.

You won't be disappointed Kerry, especially since you have the Headrest monitors already!
Did you see my Gen4 demo video on the Car-Vision website?

Yeah, I am in no way affiliated with CarVision, but the website video they had before was of the Gen 2 unit and it was in Russian or something
so I said John could use my video
Just make sure you buy a decent Micro SD card to put your films etc on. (a 'High Speed' one) or the video will be jumpy.
This is the one I bough (2nd time around...) and it works great:

Re: Anyone interested in a group buy for Dynavin or Hualinga
Ill look at that when the unit arrives. Im mainly after the bluetooth and ipod integration.
Still wondering what to do with the rear screens as they are currently independant and running off a 10 disc dvd changer in the boot!

Get John to fire the feed through the Hualingan and that then in turn sends the signal to the rears. The rears will have to be wired into the Hualingan and it can be done easily with so many feeds available in the back of the unit.
DVD unit goes to video in on the head unit.
Screens go to video out.

Can i still listen to one thing and the kids have something different on in the rear if I wire that way?
