I have added a diy on radio module removal which you can acces by clicking
here
Once again I advise folk to check obvious connectivity issues first before assuming a swap out repair or exchange is required.

it just seems odd that all the buttons on the right hand side are working ok, where should the orange light come on, is it the little light under the left hand round push button. So do you guys think it could be pointed towards the radio unit in the back or the sat nav unit itself, i know its hard to comment without seeing it, i'll check fuses first, the only thing is i have a lpg tank in the boot and i'm not sure if they re located the radio module or not.

On my lpg 4.4, the module is (from the rear) the silver box with a large square plug and a fuse visible, there is also the aerial lead as you lift out.
Mine is for sale, see ''for sale'' as I have fitted Hualigin unit.

No it's in the floor if you look at my replies above I even posted a diy link for you which explain how to extract same.
Seek further advice if yours has potential for LPG access/safety issues.

It took me and my cousin an hour to remove the tank, the bolts for the lpg tank were bolted through the chassis.
The lifting of the tank was the pain as mine didn't have alot of play in the pipes connecting the tank.
Have now redesigned new brackets for the tank so it can be unbolted and lifted out in 5 mins if I need to get to the battery or any modules.

Some lpg systems are fitted with solid wall tubes(pipes).
Thes obviously are very prone to breaking/cracking when lifting the lpg tank.
I had mine replaced with flexible pipes.
I have also purchased an engine lifter with a jib(£150) makes life very easy to lift tank out.

A lack of sound problem is liklely with the radio module/amplifier in the boot not the sat nav screen.

Hi all, first timer to any forum......
I have an x5 3.0 d got a really annoying problem with the speakers, rear speakers went down about a month ago, thought ok o can live with that!
Last week the drivers side went down intermittently now only works when you first fire ignition, then goes off leaving just the passengers front side working.
I've searched my boot for an amp, do I have one ??
I know what it supposed to look like after lots of Internet research,
Taken the sat nav head unit out and sprayed with electrical connection spray. Checked connections in the boot. I do not have dsp, does this mean I do not have an amp?
I had a new battery a couple of weeks ago ( cost an arm and a leg!!) if that helps.
Any suggestions would be great.
Thank you
