Hi CB40D, here's the contact I had within BMW UK, very helpful, I have to say:

BMW Group
United Kingdom
Thomas Alderson
Senior Customer Service Consultant
Customer Service
Summit ONE
Summit Avenue, Farnborough
Hampshire, GU14 0FB
Tel: +44 (0)370 5050 160
Email: customer.service@bmw.co.uk
Web: http://www.bmw.co.uk

All my contact was with email.

Hope you get your seat sorted out, no reason why not, if they are consistent...remember the supplying dealer has to present a case to them for a 'contribution'.....good luck, let us know how you get on please.
