Are you sure it wasn't because you look too old to be driving one in that area, especially a boy racer red one?

Ha ha, maybe
As the male plod was writing the ticket the blonde female one was flirting with me somewhat
The sun was in my eyes and she opened up her hi-viz to block the light for me!! I did wonder if she was a stripper gram.
The ironic thing of course is that this thread is about the silent electric leaf and the reason I got pulled was for the noise of the V8!! Had I been in the leaf I would have got away with it!!

Are you saying the police can give you a ticket for having noisy engine?!
I got pulled over once in S5 they just wanted to have a look and admire it - well I didn't get a ticket at least.

oh ok thanks, but what do they put on ticket? 'V8 heard at maximum throb, therefore obvious violation of speed limit'? or is it discretionary down to the officer's judgement? Have my own V8 in the pipeline and I don't want to run into any probs as I have 3 points already!

Oh crap....... gone and done it. Brother and myself have done the deed with my local dealer. Managed £500 refundable deposit on collection and £129 per month. Both in grey.
Having the rapid chargers fitted but contributing £100 SO WE CAN HAVE ONE THAT WILL FIT OTHER HYBRIDS TOO.
Brother brought it for his wife and me as i run a round. Means i can get a cheaper lease for my company car by leasing it for 10k less.
Both arriving end of March.
On top of that being a good indian boy i now have my dad moving in with us.
My drive way isnt big enough for all these cars!!!!
[/quote]
To confirm, after collection you will receive your £500 back and only pay the £129 a month? What's the lease term? I'm looking for a second one and your deal seems great.

I've not used mine much this week because my RS is in the shop for the week for new tyres and a wheel refurb, and I've had some longer journeys to do so I've taken the loaner.
The Mrs however has been using it which has surprised me somewhat. !!
The loaner (mine but in different colour with the std wheels)
Just got pulled by the fuzz. Apparently they don't like the sound of a V8 as much as I do!!
