I remember years ago when I had Wolfrace wheels and Pos-a-traction tyres on my Mk3 Cortina (Starsky and Hutch-tastic)
I had really bad wheel wobble and vibration even though they were perfectly balanced. There was one tyre fitting company in Coventry that balanced the wheels on the car. All a bit old fashioned, but it totally cured my problems.
I've no idea if that's still an option at tyre fitters these days.

I'm with you Dave as have been trying to locate someone that does old school on the hub balancing, like they used to do on the old Royce's.
The guy would be sat on the machine and it would butt up against the rim/tyre and spin it up.
I could do with trying a set of 20's from a members car to prove the theory really.

Hi Raj
This machine used to be called a K9 sit on balancer , we had one at work years ago .
If you look on the web there is a company still advertising using this unit (vibration free.co.uk)
Don't know what they are like but the machine they show using on the website is the same I used to use and is very good.
Might be worth a phone call
Cheers
Steve

Cheers Steve as that's exactly what I was referring to. Looked like K9 out of doctor who (hence the name lol).
They're only in Bicester so I'll give them a call tomorrow.
