Thanks guys- the one I have my eye on is a nov 07 so should be ok but will check build date if I go to see it.  Are there any other serious things to look at - do they have swirl flaps? Are there tell tale signs of gearbox issues or turbo failure?  What gremlins am I liable to find in the idrive?

mine was a november '07 build (registered in December) and was still 231g CO2, therefore in the £460 bracket. The 214g cars seemed to start coming through February/March '08.
