Test driving v8 vantage and v12 DB9 tomorrow. Original idea of new v12 vantage s out window as as soon as I sat in one and shut the door I wanted one - NOW!!
DB9 more versatile in my view hence only took pics of that one. If ordered I'd go for black probably.

Nice but confused
What is new, you implied it was new model?
Manual or auto vantage? Both have their quirks including the handbrake!!!
Seriously almost bought V8 for mrs but for a woman it just wasn't friendly enough to drive.
I adore the cars to look at and listen too but was ultimately felt left wanting.
Look forward to update tomorrow.

The v12 vantage s is the new one. Have an invite to silver stone next week to drive one round if i want (um let me think about that one......!!)
However I am still inexplicably drawn to the 2+2 layout of the db9. I will sleep on it. The drive and feel is most important so we will see mañana. Thinking is: buy one which fits current wants (2+2 or rather 2+half a pint of milk the seats are so small [but still there]) then jack it in for the smaller but madder vantage next year. ...

Got ya. Wondered that after I typed it.
The 9 has been substantial facelifted anyway isn't it? It is a very old car now although the vantage is 7 years old now although neither have particularly aged.
Surely a vantage will be more fun to drive. Friend smashed up his db9 on track once. Far too heavy!! I have a pic somewhere

If it's all the same I'd rather not see any pictures of your heavy friend

Snipez, if your considering any of them out of the Aston range, it's got to be the V12 Vantage - theres some great deals available on nearly new cars and once you try you will be addicted - V12 in a small body, says it all.
If you think the Vantage is going to be too small, then I personally would pass on the DB9 and go straight to the new Vanquish, albeit there is a small matter of a extra 60 odd k to get into the Vanquish
Enjoy your ride out in the V12S (and get some pics), certainly an exclusive club to get into if you decide to go for it, however I feel the regular V12 has it all at the moment and where I would getting if I was getting another Aston (albeit the limited V12 Vantage Roadster)
Some pics of my last one -
Max :beer2:
Edited to say I can't get the pics to work, but there are a couple in the link in my sig (which is a bit out of date though!)

Thanks. I'm almost certain it would be db9 on the strength of being able to do the school run with the kids in (just lol) but will still be fun driving both tomorrow over the speed humps and up the slope near my house! I'm almost doubtful they will make it lol
Thing is with me I'm an obsessive compulsive type so could end up doing anything

Have fun then mate, but from what I remember of you from the Mini Xmas meet in Wolves, you were slightly taller than me(!), so you may find the space in the back some what restrictive for your little ones. I would get them to add a Rapide to your list of cars tomorrow if you definately want to try and do 2+2/4 seater or even better pop over to Maserati and have a run out in a Gran Turismo, 4 proper seats and makes a fantastic noise like the Aston's.
Have fun hooning tomorrow and if there's an extra seat for the V12 day at Silverstone, I'm in!!!!!

Just getting prices on instock cars. Erring towards the wild card I just drove - v12 rapide S. immense!!! And boy what a noise. Absolute luxury for the kids and drives smooth. I think I'm in love. Pics when I get back but they have a white demo with under 100 on the clock and beo sound etc. and I have a worsening itch!!

Then aren't you in to the options of the other one we discussed on pm?
Surely value of Rapide would drop like a stone too?
There has been one parked outside my office in London for years recently updated to a newer one
Does look very nice and it would look good in white, if you are feeling brave. At least you could take home to Essex and it will fit in fine there too!
