Bloody hell
Whatever sub 5 second 0-60 performance is classed as in your mind, admit that it's fairly quick
I'll now strip naked and go outside and whip myself with a tree branch for mentioning 'supercar performance'

I'm relatively immune to speed to be fair as many on here know I have some friends with some serious machinery (Maccas/numerous Ferraris incl F40 etc)
The only one that has made my stomach turn is a £150k 950bhp GTR. I'm shitting myself about getting in the 1450bhp one!
I've just opened my autocar to see road test of the 12c spider and the data sheet shows the competitors. All are in the 3 sec bracket, the slowest being the lambo at 3.9
Too be fair I liked the supra when they first came out but as you state the imports ruined their status.
Looking forward to the video of the basil fawlty scene but please leave your clothes on

I'll give the video a miss.
I wouldn't buy a Supra now mainly because of it's current image, back in the day when I got it it offered serious power for reasonable money. I have to say the build quality on them is superb, all these years on and it's still sound.
As for the X5 tractor comment.... >:(
I also own a Mitsubishi L200, Pikey wagon

I agree and 20 years ago when I was kid and they came out it was a wow factor particularly with the big wing!! The NA ones looked terrible without the wing again as a teenager.
At the time their performance probably was up there with supercars being as quick if not quicker in some cases as the F348/355
Pikey wagons are cool !

Well worth doing the bpu upgrade to the Supra. Its transforms it for not much money. A 2JZ engine will easily take 600bhp without doing anything to the internals. Its a true masterpiece of an engine. I think the image of the Supra is coming full circle as "Chavs" can no longer afford to run them

Agreed, plenty of scope engine wise, with the six speed box and large brakes it's ready for it. As mine is fairly standard it's also pretty rare as most have had crap fiberglass bodykits added, shame as it's such a decent piece of engineering and I do hope the tables turn on the chav image

Back OT, so sub what seconds is considered 'super car' performance? 4 secs?

In the 3s now
My lotus is 4 dead, Audi 4.4 and Porsche 4.8. None of which are supercars.
