What is the replacement?
[/quote]

Moving all into BMW family. Requirements were seats for the kids (2 seater ruled out), convertible, small (as we have the tank already), sporty (helps), wife friendly.

And the winner 123d loaded with lots of toys, no delivery date yet, hoping end of May.

Just wait a few years when I post about my electric convertible, with optional solar panels funded by government FIT scheme

You know a little something about the engine? Actually started with the 120d and it was fine, was quick but deceptive the power was delivered so smoothly just left me thinking give me more anyway hence 123d, figured after warranty period easy to turn up the twin turbo's and get more if bored.

Only downside side is no lovely noise to listen to, easily solved with upgraded sound system

I really can't see the issue with diesels.  Driven normally they are very economical, the increased torque ensures a big surge of power low down the rev range and the BMW straight six does have a decent sound track which can be enhanced by adding a tuned exhaust.

Sorry , that was a Micky take, you can't go to the loo!!  Got a few friends around for drinkies :o :D :)

To avoid confusion, I got back from the loo, to find my ipad had been improvised :D and a very drunk mate smiling too much!
I'm glad he never offended any one, apart from Don :)

However if solar panels are in the roof you won't be able to put roof down when sun is out!!!

To be fair, most convertible drives keep their roofs up all year round, so no biggie :)

The top of the boot and bonnet continues generation plus the excess power of the convertible ones is transferred to them to run even higher, wow BMW such innovation.

Sounds like some people had fun last night, went over my head though.
