Great news.. 10p worth of aluminium tape did the job, Just done a trip to the city, not one rattle anywhere in the car! Absolutely delighted
I've done a visual on the rest of the cassette and cant see any other sign of wear or damage! Yipeeeee!

Well I hope you enjoy enough to stay around. The reason I asked was there were a lot of 530d e39's around when I was on BMW5.
