I don't know enough about these wheels and the problems others have had but I'd get them in to the dealer to try anyway
I had this problem on a Lexus years ago which I had a two year contract hire. A work colleague bought it off them and had all 4 wheels replaced under warranty despite him having kerbed a couple

When I took my 20's off in November to put the winter set on I noticed the lacquer was coming away round the centre caps on both front wheels. I flagged it to the dealer at the time and was told don't worry. When you put them back on bring the car up to us we'll check all 4 and replace if necessary.
Well swapped winters back off last weekend and went in to dealers today and they've agreed to change both fronts under warranty. What I had noticed was that only the rears were stamped United States the others were not (or vice versa) perhaps its a manufacturing issue with different size wheels coming from different sources.

Mine was nowhere near as bad as that and they are replacing all of them no questions asked and 2 of them are badly kerbed

Took the X5 into Barons and saw the Service Manager. He will be filling a warranty form for 3 of the wheels to be replaced and says they will be in touch within 48hrs.

My two fronts replaced under warranty on Friday, they've asked me to keep an eye on the rears and if they show any signs off corrosion they'll replace them too.

Still waiting for decision from BMW after 3 weeks. Dealer saying they have had lots of emails back and forth. They think BMW trying to confirm wheels have not been refurbished. Dealer reckons some claims have taken 10 weeks!!

Mine took 2 days to get agreed I suppose it depends on the dealer, they are taking longer over he arches though and there is a long back order on the films for the panels

Just got mine back today - replaced all four wheels with no fuss - I also have had the films done (again no fuss). Strange each dealer is different. I called another dealer before I approached my local dealer and got same answer. Wheels and film under warrenty

Think the delay is down to the car being 2.5 years old and BMW checking with previous owners if wheels have been refurbished. Will just have to wait and see. Am sure they will try and wriggle out of it if they can.

The saga continues. Bmw want me to take car into dealers for the day so the wheels can be removed and inspected to ensure they havent been refurbished. Getting a loan car so not a problem just think this has dragged on for 5 weeks now so not sure why they didnt do this sooner!!

They'll also put them on a dial-gauge to make sure the rim 'run out' is within tolerance - e.g not bent by a pothole. It just amazes me the BMW must know they have an issue but just will not accept it.
I know they aren't the only manufacturer to play these games, but sometimes it's way beyond silly, and then they wonder why the buying public loses faith in any kind of warranty support!!
