Hi I'm in Walshaw, in between Bury and Bolton, I have just got rid of the X5. I have got a Golf now, you can have my scanner if you want, you can download the software off  net, as I didn't get a disc with mine from china.
I don't need it now I've got shut of the X.pop over and if you know how we can sort your car. FOC. I have the software loaded onto an old laptop.
I also have LED side marker angel eyes bulbs and 55w HIDS kits, led number plate bulbs if your interested going cheap, I can fit them also if required. Give me a txt or call 07989478456. I was going to post them on the site, but not got around to it yet.

Funnily enough am after some led rear number plate lights!
Will also have a look at the other stuff you have too!
Just tried downloading the software onto my daughters laptop but it's win 7 and not XP..
Can you not use the software on win 7?

You can get it to work on win 7. It's the drivers that are different, they are available to download from the net, the trouble with the scanner software you have to install the drivers via device manager manually, it's not plug and play, you can borrow my old laptop with the software loaded, I bought it to just serve the scanner, I coded the doors to airlock and chirp in alarm set etc as well with the scanner, worth having just to check codes, and reset airbag warnings etc. I've got the dog gaurd/cargo restraint thingy too

If you want to call today before 1.30 you can take the laptop and scanner away or do it here, if you take it away I need a £30 deposit, refundable when you return the laptop, and you can have the number plate bulbs for £5 fitted
Txt me for the address.

Hi Guys.......im thinking of doing this to the rear of my 2004 4.4i sport.

I have a LPG tank in the boot were the spare wheel would normally sit, will this need removing to fit the coil springs or remove the rear air spring?

Also the spring i need to use is there a specific one for the sport model?

Any help would be appreciated guys...

Thanks.

Hi. Why do You want to change it? Having heavy lpg tank in boot Your car will drop the rear on coil springs.

The lpg tank in my 4.6 was a bit heavier than a spare wheel when it was empty. Obviously when full it weighed a ton, but then again my petrol tank was never full so that would have balanced itself out.

LPG weighs approx .54kg per litre so unsure where yuo got the 100kg extra for a lpg weight from empty to full???

A full lpg tank with say 80 litres of lpg in it will weigh roughly the same as a full petrol tank as lpg weighs far less than petrol. When running lpg you never have a full petrol tank so in theory the extra weight is offset anyway and puts you in onlya slightly worse position weight wise.

Also as you do remove the pump, spare wheel, rear cannisters, etc again the weight is offset.

I'm running an lpg'd X5 and had it fitted after I removed my air suspension so can compare the before and after ride height. In all honesty the rear dropped so fractionally that it is barely noticeable.
