XDrive 40d in The Snow
Re: XDrive 40d in The Snow
Hmm - I'm expecting it to be better than my old 335d & any other car I've owned for that matter... but still it sounds no good without the winter tyre set up! Thanks for the reples. It's a bit late now to pick up a winter set of rubber on eBay.

It maybe a little late, hopefully not, but if you are unable to get sorted this year, I would advise looking late spring, early summer as the demand won't be there and prices should be better. I went the route of sourcing rims and good quality part worn tyres separately.

As I've said elsewhere it's also worth looking at the german ebay site (eBay.de). I found an as new set of 18in BMW X5 winters for around half price. Many sellers will courier over so no probs there. Worked well for me - my German is near non existent particularly when things get technical, so I just used google translate to flip the narrative into English. It's particularly worth looking at the mm left on any second hand tyres as replacing with new ones is prohibitively expensive. I'm hopeful mine will last years if needed...
