Thanks Jaynana, i did click on your profile to see if you were still about and luckily you were.

This has been going on a few weeks now and my original searches made me buy a a steering angle sensor so i do have one to put on, looks like i will have to bite the bullet and get it done.

I'll let you know how i get on.
