Thanks X5twin. We still haven't collected it as we are waiting on them repairing a cut door trim and repairing the peeling steering wheel trim. Should be ready this week at some point. [/quote]
Another steering wheel peeling. I have the same but mines not under warranty. Very jealous you're getting yours repaired ! Mine looks a bit cheap as some of the film has peeled of.
Enjoy the car

Well apparently that and the door trim were getting repaired yesterday, my wife is going to see it today so we shall see lol.
I have told the salesman I am not sending the signed documents until it has been repaired.

I agree, make sure you're happy before collecting it. Funnily enough once they have your money some of the dealers suddenly loose interest in talking to you or giving you free coffee !!

Update, my wife turned up yesterday as we were told it was fixed. The salesman was off so she just walked into the rear compound to look for herself. Well the door trim or the steering wheel hadn't been touched.
He emailed this morning to say that the repairs are all done and asked me to send the paperwork, I replied well that's funny what time were the repairs because my wife checked late yesterday afternoon and it was still the same. He then back tracked and said oh I will just check because it was my day off, they were supposed to have been done yesterday. So I ask for pictures when it's finished. He then sends me pictures a few hours later of the wrong door trim and only the right hand side of the steering wheel trim when it was the left side that was peeling. That really annoyed me so he got a very cheeky email telling him he has 1 more chance to get the pictures and stop taking the piss or I will be going elsewhere.
Just goes to show that even when we know the salesman they are all sneaky lying *******

Well the time has now arrived. After approx 15 hours travelling I am now at home enjoying my first drink in 4 months. Will be picking up my X5 tomorrow afternoon and very excited about it.
Straight away I will be replacing the OEM angel eye bulbs with GP Thunders so I will post some before and after pics tomorrow for anyone interested in them.
I will post my first impressions tomorrow.

Picked the car up and I love it. I fitted the GP thunders to the drivers side then dropped the passenger side bulb and broke the filament so I have had to order another set lol. Should receive them within a week so I will post the before and after pics then.

Yes everything was repaired that was agreed so I was very happy with it. It also had 4 new tyres and front and rear pads and discs fitted so they should last a while.
Just getting the hang of everything now, its the first car I have owned that I have had to use the owners manual. I feel a failure of a man for reading instructions lol.

My E53 is supposed to have it, but we couldn't get it to work properly at the last meet using the resler, the woman just wittered away in German, even though everything is set to English. Any ideas besides learning German?
