you know what - i used to do that with my previous land cruiser. like u say nothing to beat knowin u've put the best of parts and done it well. but the issue is getting the stamp on teh servicde book - which is what mattered eventually when trying to sell! not how well i had done it!

how do u get that bit sorted?

your quite right there, a few splodges of dealer ink in a service book convince people a good jobs been done and can add thousands to a cars value.
personally, i collect all receipts for filters/oils/parts etc and keep them with service book and record mileages the "self" services were done. not the best solution, i know, but i tend to keep my cars for a long time and prefer the knowledge of proper servicing than thinking i might have been ripped off and important jobs not actually done. :)
