Battery,Bosch Silver plus

Just to confirm the OEM was 90A and so is the S3 so it's adequate. I did ask for S4/S5 but they didn't have either.

[quote=""jeegnesh""]All done, small issue of crossed thread but lucky there was just enough left to fit back on.

Took it for a test drive I can definitely feel more power, took a quick pic of the speedo for proof, although it went mental once we hit the A road and Sanj took the car past 140mph

Should off asked Sanjay if you could of tried his battery on your car for a few weeks as you know how long it takes him to make a tea and wash his hair at the same time

So what is the process for replacement?

Just a matter of negative off, positive off, battery out, battery in, positive on, negative on?

breather pipe to add to that:

negative off, positive off, breather pipe off, battery out, battery in, breather pipe on, positive on, negative on, pray everything comes back alive (cooms packs in particular, else disconnect negative and let it reset again)

Got the S5 for £84 from ECP last week - decent price as standard anyway, but I was able to get a further 25% off.

They have a 25% off sale on many items right now, but its limited to 15% off batteries. However by using the code "MBCLUB25", which was "donated" by my cousin who is a member of the Mercedes Benz owners club I was able to bag the bargain price above.

Hope this is useful to other forum members!

Bosch Battery (S5 Battery 019 5 Year Guarantee)
Part No.: 444770198
Web Price: £112.74
Forum Price: £84.56

100A and 830CCA.
Its still ~£120-£130 most places.

Battery,Bosch Silver plus

I've just had to remove my head unit to sort that washed out colour problem and it now sounds like my battery's about to die too, as someone already said, it seems to be that time of year!
