Get them to check for play in the turbo, also have you ever had the breather changed on the engine
@rusty just read about the mango lol great one
That reminds me,had sanj's wife's car in to have a look at an oil leak from the engine
The problem was someone had applied too much Mango chutney gasket sealer to the new rocker cover gasket

Huh hmm, that would be 'they're crap'
Predictive Text, or 'keyb blonde' mode?
Let's see how many remember setting 'keyb uk', or was it 'keybuk' as part of the DOS setup? In my case it's probably 'keyb antique'.

I had this problem with my X5 my wife said she can smell a funny smell every time we go in the X5 and alot of smoke some days not every time thoe so i spoke to my garage and they said it will be an injector leaking fuel and then when you start you will have alot of smoke and a smell, so i had all 6 injectors taken out to be check and cleaned , and since then the X5 go's like a bullet no smoke and no smell and is alot better on fuel, i would try this best thing i every had done to my X5 WHAT A DIFFERANCE. ps i tryed every thing else like oil, fillters, oil seperater etc still had the same problem so you may want to try the injectors.

I can cope with a tesco bag because it's a lot cheaper than injectors!!

That does somewhat depend what is in the Tesco bag..... But a full set of injectors will set you back about £900 though (for new Bosch ones)

A SET OF INJECTORS COST £180 EACH FROM BOSCH AND THEY GIVE YOU £80 EACH FOR YOUR OLD ONE BACK SO IT ONLY COST YOU £100 FOR EACH INJECTOR WHICH IS'NT BAD, WHILE WORTH IT I THINK.
