6k? Ouch! Good thing I’ve reduced the mileage on that car or I’d be doing 2 - 3 a year. That being said my old 1972 VW Fastback needed changes every 3k (and it was special oil!).

I think that I’ll keep the BMW Extended Warranty running a wee while longer then…..

100% I would keep it going. It's a shame that diesel engines have not seen any innovation for the last 10 years, they have been phased out after the VW scandal,otherwide we would be some real magnificent engines.
