Wouldn't have put the battery bit on it if it failed i bet.
Failing for gain that could be seen as.
But as you say just drumming up business.
Sorry to say but they would be my last resort for my mot.

Wifes decision based on geographical convenience and a Groupon (or similar) voucher. Caused me some irritation though, convoy to ATS and a return of course and two trips to the Subaru indy as left it overnight. 30 minutes each way a bit of a ball ache but trust them unlike ATS.
Reminds me my daughter's Corsa had MOT at an F1 centre a year or two back. Nearly £1Ks worth of faults flagged.

And another year done and dusted. Still no mention of the ‘suspension issue’ flagged last year. It’s now had 2 MOTs and 3 safety inspections with no mention of the issue again….

Just done the mot on a new to me 320d.
Couldn't find last years advisories brake pipes covered in grease and a few other bits.
Pipes look to be a few years old and no sign of any recent work on the car.
The 2 guys that do the tests are old school and don't let anything go that is why i use them plus i have known them for 40+ years.

Mine has been done today. I got the fuel filter fitted and the brake fluid changed at the same time (I did the rest of the service last week).
All good, no advisories.
