Oh and if things don't improve with the ribbons then there s the option to replace JUST the LCD part of the unit (as mentioned by X5Sport earlier in the thread):

Hi
Sorry for the delay I dropped my iPhone and smashed the screen so it's at the iPhone hospital in intensive care
Anyways mines fine ever since I did those pesky ribbon cables

[quote=""kena""]Mines still on the blink. One day it's perfect the next it's all washed out.
Anything that is normally yellow is white and other colours looked washed out.
I have cleaned the connections on the TV module but haven't had the time yet to try the ribbon cables behind the screen.
It always seems to be OK on wet/damp days and washed out when it's dry and sunny.

That's what mine was like mate on and off but now it's totally gone so i'll have to get to work on it.

UPDATE.... Mine is now fixed after a fiddle with the ribbon cables (nice one Sanj
)
i can't believe now it's fixed how washed out and faded it had become
I had gotten used to seeing it that way i suppose
A really easy fix that took about 10 mins to do and what a result......... at least for now anyway i will keep an eye on it and report back if it fades again.
I have done a how to in a seperate thread for the benefit of others
Can they diagnose screen problems?
