Argh, the problems continue.
Trying to use a connects2 fascia adaptor and nothing fits?! Photos attached, the main fascia trim is loose in the hole and doesn't click into anything? Anyone experienced this?
Below is with the smaller brackets fitted incorrectly, definitely won't fit in the hole...
And fitted correctly, perfect to bolt the radio to the brackets, but what holds the actual fascia trim?!

Aren't those 4 lugs on the back just supposed to lock into the original hole in the dash. tbh they look like they should have metal locking clips fitted to those lugs.

There are clips on them, but they don't touch anything once in the dash

The only solution then if you really want to stick with that arrangement is to make the hole in the dash smaller by putting a strip of metal across the bottom secured by the 2 screw holes so that it does fit. Just a thought.

I'm fed up with my OEM unit and am tempted to ditch it in favour of an aftermarket single din device. I never use the nav anyway, and have never been able to get the bluetooth working.
My only concern relates to the OBC. If you dont reconnect the existing screen/MID into the boot or glovebox, what exactly can you view on the instrument cluster? Can you still cycle through the MPG, miles in tank etc but just not reset them? Do they still show actual info? How do you reset the clock?
