HELP URGENTLY NEEDED!!!!!!!

Thanks Mpower I am well chuffed. I've tried the fues for the door lock and checked for any bad connections all good there, I've read that it's a common problem on the x5 models for the doors to sieze up and the mechanisms play up is there any way I can open the rear driver door to get to the mechs? Cheers.

Did you get rid of the error on cluster?

Yes remove door card and the mechanism is inside.

Ah there is a problem with that! I can't open the door to remove the door card, tried to get the door card off but can't get to the bolts. Any other suggestions? Cheers.

Remove rear seat that will give you more room,give it a try rather than break something,more than likely a actuator failure.

Ignore that method there is a far simpler way around this but not sure is allowed to post here from another forum?

Great news.

Those warning lights are cleared lock-to-lock as above, and are completely normal when the battery is disconnected.

Can't help with the doors though....sorry

Hi didn't get rid of the 4x4 thing on my dash yet will try the lock to lock thing tomorrow will take for a short drive tomorrow and try the lock to lock thing and let you know. Cheers.

You have message,you can remove the error on dash by swinging the wheel lock to lock at standstill.

Hi Mpower, happy chappy now, just done the steering lock thing on after a little test drive lock to lock and no 4x4 light and if I press the dsc button it comes on and goes off as it should cheers fella.
