I have them on my F15 and compared to the previous xenons on my E53 they are day and night (pun intended).

The 'light tunnelling' effect to 'shadow box' cars you are following is something to behold.

And the 'blinking eyebrow' indicators are so bright you can see their illumination reflect off signs, even at motorway speeds.

I have adaptive lights on my M5 and the tunnelling etc. is brilliant, hopefully the LED's will be a better light.

My X3 has adaptive xenons and led fogs which come on/off independently of each other when parking the car at night.  I thought they were faulty at first :-)

The latest spec you've posted is near identical to my 40d Msport. The winter pack has benefits though but if there isn't one available then so be it. Personally i love the heated steering wheel and rear heated seats great for passengers as it's damn cold for at least 8 months a year and i too live in the south  ;)

Adaptive LED headlights are awesome.. Can't fault them in any way and yes, they do look very cool.

Good luck with the purchase.

Thanks.

I've decided to spec this up pretty well so it holds my attention longer than other cars have done.

Personally I love the look of the F15 and I think the M50d is going to be a great DD.

5 months to go  8)

Your car is almost identical to mine in spec - I think you've made some good choices! Adding the Pano roof makes a big difference - the only major omission I see is no comfort seats?

My spec is as follows:

- X5 M50d, Metallic Carbon Black
- Automatic air conditioning with 4-zone control
- Comfort Access
- Auxiliary heating with remote control
- Harman Kardon surround loudspeaker system
- Soft close doors
- Instrument panel with leather finish
- Sun protection glass
- Third row seating
- Surround view
- 20" M Double-spoke style 469M alloy wheels
- Panoramic glass sunroof
- Adaptive LED headlights
- Front Comfort seats
- Automatic dimming exterior folding mirrors
- High beam assistant
- Head up display
- De badged
- Speed limit display
- Reversing assist camera
- Enhanced Bluetooth telephone with USB and voice control

Mogsyman,
Very interesting thread and thanks for sharing. I am about to go into bat for a new 50i later this month. Interested to hear how you get on with Coast2Coast cars. For the V8, they are currently showing 19.5% discount which is a very good starting point. It takes the base price down to what I paid new for an E53 3.0d back in 2004.
I too looked at a petrol RR but prices are ridiculous and just too many reliability/longevity concerns.
Good luck with it.
