to be fair depending on what age your looking at the 4.5s has alot of engine related horror stories, where as the 3.2 and 4.5turbo have no bad reports, i looked into getting one when i got the ml but wanted the 4.8

Yep I've read the bigger engine problems it's a 06 plate 3.2.

I bet Turbo's mpg figures are as bad as 4.8's :)?

is the 3.2 the vag group one in the tt, r32 etc, if so is a well proven unit, i think i would steer clear of the 4.5
