Macan S loan car

Irrespective of that colour, I could not have that because of the massive Turbo lag. The same that the Range Rover seems to suffer from, it makes driving horrible.

Who would buy a turbo diesel car anyway ...

Re: Macan S loan car
I was looking at the Macan as a replacement for the X1 the X4 seemed too expensive , but after reading about the turbo lag I am going to have to rethink , the 18 months wait was another problem along with no discount .
What other car do you all suggest ? No Range Rovers !

Slightly off topic, but then this is the way the threads going anyway!
Before buying my house, the wife and I looked at a number of houses that we liked but when we spoke to the agent after the viewing they said the seller wanted another 15-20%. Someone then mentioned that turning up in the X5 wasn't a good idea, so the next house we visited we went in a 106 pug, funny enough we offered less and got it!
As for white cars, I had a Rover 216 Twin Cam 16v (with the Honda engine) in 91. I was 24 and loved the car, the colour was fine but now middle aged I do agree with 535dboy that white isn't for most.
Coming back on topic, the Macan gets great reviews and with the badge will always be a good seller but personally I'm not a fan of Porsche so will be very unlikely to ever have one.

I only take the Porsche to clients that know me well otherwise it could cause fee issues with clients. Even though the Audi cost more than the Porsche (£65k vs £63k) most people won't know that so the Audi is safer.
If I get this Exige I will go white because I'm not yet in my 40s unlike many on here (hey IQ?)

Re: Macan S loan car
I did tell him that I did not like the turbo lag, but the positive was that the seats were very good.
Sport mode on an automatic is awful as well, don't know how you deal with that on your Boxster 535.

Audi single turbo diesels do seem bad for turbo lag, their twin turbo is as good as bmws and sounds even nicer
Try the single turbo in a front wheel drive car, it really is horrid because after the delay you got awful torque steer.
Get the petrol.

Well at least when you are sat on the comfy seats on the inside you can't see the awful outside.
I drive it in manual.

Re: Macan S loan car
Macan manual does not work, it leaves it in manual for a bit and if you don't change gears it goes back to fully auto again, which defeats the object as it was the roundabouts that gave me the biggest scares.
From standstill it was absolutely fine, but just wanting to nip behind a car needed a definite planning session first and plenty of "oh sh***" moments where there was no power at all to get any speed.
